Central Issue Facility (CIF)
In April 2001, Skookum began its relationship
with the United States Army as the chosen contractor to operate
the Central Issue Facility (CIF) at Fort Lewis, Washington. Since
that time, Skookum has managed a large warehouse where individual
equipment, for all soldiers and other authorized customers, is received,
repaired, stored and issued by Skookum employees. Skookum supports
the community of Fort Lewis by facilitating the individual issue,
turn-in and Direct Exchange (DX) of Organizational Clothing and
Individual Equipment (OCIE). We also support Bulk Issues, Bulk Turn-Ins,
Temporary Loans, Deployment, Re-Deployment, Mobilizations, Demobilizations
and ROTC National Advanced Leadership Camp. In an average month,
Skookum's experienced CIF crew will serve approximately 8,600 soldiers,
each of whom will return and/or receive some 40 items of equipment,
clothing and gear.
Skookum is committed to providing the soldiers
and community of Fort Lewis the most efficient and friendliest service
possible. We successfully exceed our customers and clients expectations
while fostering a positive, supportive and learning environment
for our CIF team members. We work to sustain our future at Fort
Lewis by continually improving our processes and providing our customers‚
quality services and support, thereby furthering the social mission
of Skookum.
Our goal is to provide absolute customer oriented
service and we are totally dedicated to the highest quality customer
service standards.
